What I'm Doing Now

Freelance Copywriter ( 2017 - Present )

Currently, I’m in a “permalance” relationship with CableLabs, a technology company based in Colorado, and Earth Ahead, a small eco-shop with a big conscience. In between writing projects, I’m also learning photography and attempting to find the fragile balance between creative freedom and family obligations.

Lead Copywriter

March 2007 - August 2016

I oversaw all marketing and UX/UI copy deliverables for directv.com and DIRECTV mobile apps, while managing a team of seven writers. My daily responsibilities included revising and editing my team's work, solving copy-related challenges, interfacing with cross-functional team players and making sure the executive team is consistently blown away by our work.

I joined DIRECTV as a freelance writer a couple years out of college, got hired full time shortly after, and then worked up to Lead Copywriter in 2014.

Tribal DDB

This short, but memorable stint has solidified my desire to write for digital media. I helped launch Lipton Tea PureLeaf website and developed concepts for the Phillips site.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH)

I worked on British Airways and Smirnoff Ice accounts, producing a continuous stream of ideas for print, TV and radio ads, including a few fun guerrilla marketing ideas for an airline conference.

Mother

My contribution at Mother helped the agency acquire the Rembrandt Toothpaste account estimated at $15 million. Final work included presentation boards showcasing ideas for TV, interactive, and billboard advertising.

October 2005 - January 2006

Strawberry Frog

At the Frog, I worked exclusively on new business pitches, including MINI Cooper and Belvedere Vodka. When I wasn't dreaming up big ideas, I also helped with business research and strategy.
